Sitting the Exam
The online exam has been designed to test your knowledge of the course material. To be able to pass the exam you will need to have thoroughly studied and learnt the course content. You may refer to course materials where needed. You need to get every question within both assessments correct to pass the exam.
Once an exam part is started, you cannot pause or exit and come back to it – so please ensure you have the time to complete your attempt before commencing. If an attempt reaches the time limit, all of your answers will be saved and automatically submitted, and the attempt will then be closed.
You have 2 attempts at each part of the exam. Cheating will not be tolerated and where we have reason to believe the exam rules have not been followed, you will be required to resit the exam under supervision, via Team Viewer, with a charge of $100 to cover supervision costs. Blatant plagiarism or copying may result in a zero grade and non-completion of the course. AI Generated answers will not be accepted.
Certification Process
Once we have confirmed that you have passed the exam, we will take the following steps:
1. Email you your Licence Controller Qualification Certificate. This can be attached to your Manager’s Certificate application as evidence of completing the required qualification. It is recommended that you keep this somewhere safe as you will need to attach it in subsequent renewals for your Manager’s Certificate.
2. Apply to NZQA for you to be awarded with the following unit standards:
License Controller Qualification – LCQ (Micro-credential)
And be awarded with the following unit standards:
- 4646 Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for the operation of licensed premises
- 16705 Demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises
These units will be added to your official record of learning with NZQA.
